Not a big story in a game in Seoul where 8th rankedSamsung Thunders (3-5) were defeated by fifth ranked Wonju DB (5-4) 94-80 on Saturday. Wonju DB dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Samsung Thunders ' 38. Wonju DB outrebounded Seoul Thunders 46-32 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Wonju DB looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Wonju DB made 7 blocks. American center Henry Ellenson (208-1997, college: Marquette) fired 31 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) chipped in 16 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Wonju DB players scored in double figures. Turkish power forward Kerem Kanter (208-1995, college: Xavier) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Wonju DB maintains fifth place with 5-4 record. Seoul Thunders lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with Seoul Knights.
